A dedicated and proud CF mum is supporting the Monash CF community by going “65 days dry for 65 roses”. Maybe this resonates with you and you are willing to support her in her quest to stay dry in support of her brave son and the fabulous Monash CF Team...
Over the past 8 years, since our beautiful son Ethan was diagnosed with CF, our family, friends and the CF clinic team at Monash Hospital have been an incredible support to us.
In gratitude for that support and in admiration for how Ethan and so many children manage their challenges with CF I would like to do something that will be (very) challenging for me (with a focus on the number 65). So this year I am going to give up alcohol for a duration of 65 days!
May is Cystic Fibrosis (CF) awareness month and Friday May 24th is 65 Roses Day.
The “65 Roses” story dates back to 1965 when an observant 4-year-old, hearing the name of the disease pronounced cystic fibrosis as "65 Roses."
I am hoping by achieving this goal I can raise important awareness of CF and people will consider sponsoring me so I can raise a total of $650 to donate to the Monash Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. I will undertake this challenge between May 24th - (65 Roses Day) and July 27th.
Thanking you in advance ,
Cheers, Bec - with the support of Dave and Ethan
