On Monday 5 June with over 100 “Friends of Monash CF” present, the Monash CF Foundation was officially launched at the Monash Gallery of Art in Wheelers Hill.
The Foundation supports the Monash CF Service in the treatment of children and adults suffering from Cystic Fibrosis across both the Monash Children’s Hospital and Monash Medical Centre at Clayton.
The initiators of the Foundation recognised that having a dedicated entity for Monash CF fundraising would provide a platform for those wishing to support the CF Service and have a positive impact on patient care. The Foundation’s fundraising and projects will directly assist the CF Service in the drive to provide world’s best standards of patient care with an aim to keep CF patients as healthy as they can possibly be today.
The Foundation has now launched a campaign the raise funds to purchase air filtration units for use in hospital areas used by CF patients. These units will purify the air thereby minimising air borne cross-infection risks. The Foundation is also fundraising to purchase iPads for use by the CF Service to commence mental wellbeing health checks and undertake regular continuous improvement reviews.
The Foundation acknowledges the support from Monash Health and the Monash Health Foundation, and we also look forward to working with Cystic Fibrosis Victoria on key projects in the joint support of CF patients at Monash.
We thank our generous sponsors Monash Gallery of Art, Cultural Catering, Chain of Ponds, Scion Vineyard & Winery, Nick Haselgrove Wines, Dan Murphy and our volunteers who contributed to this launch event in support of Cystic Fibrosis.
